Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization or “SEO” for short is the act of optimizing your websites organic ranking for search engines. What most agencies will not tell you is that it’s not as difficult as it sounds and is something that can easily be learned. However, most people do not do their own search engine optimization simply because there’s so much time invested to make sure it is done correctly.

Our approach to Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine OptimizationWe take the mystery out of Search Engine Optimization by educating our clients on why and how we do things. For example did you know that search engines prefer your page to have at least 300 words in order to rank effectively? Of course there are several other things such as heading tags, meta tags and of course a focus keyword. As social media plays stronger role on the web, having your website linked to social media accounts is equally important. Our team will set up webmaster tools to monitor your websites index status. We will also set up your website and other digital platforms such as social media on our own marketing software to monitor the pulse of your company.  This would include making sure that each image has an alt tag, each page has a primary keyword, all of the meta tags are in place, any crawl errors are corrected, and competitor analysis.

What else affects my Search Engine Optimization?

Some other things that can affect your search engine ranking placement or commonly referred to as “SERP” are how many websites are linking back to your domain, what is your domain’s authority, what is the authority of the websites that link to your domain, are they related, and more. When we educate our clients on Search Engine Optimization, we tell them to remember the paragraph structure they learned in school where you had an introduction paragraph 1, paragraph 2, paragraph 3, and conclusions. Much of this holds true when you’re writing a page for search engines, in place of the paragraphs you would use headings and each heading will have a supporting paragraph. Obviously this can make your website very text heavy which is a poor user experience. So our team can consolidate this text with a simple toggle or by other means so that the text is hidden unless the user is interested in reading more, but the text is there for the spiders to crawl.
